I don't understand how you can help me make these changes. What do you do that is different to what everybody else does?
Every person has a different area of expertise; mine happens to be psychologically lateral thinking. Uniquely and logically figuring out what makes individuals tick in their own unique ways - something that even the most experienced clinicians can't work out how to do. I have studied many years to gain a deep understanding of the behaviours, emotions, and ways-of-being that make each person who they are. As every person is unique, I see to it that my therapy sessions are customized to suit the varied needs of my clients and my client's unique thinking process. Most therapists follow what the books tell them to the letter - I don't. In fact, i refuse to read those books in case it begins to hinder my outstanding results. I believe that people handle issues in different ways, so the way to solve these issues should use different types of solutions as well.
Do you work on weight loss/eating-addiction? How about smoking cessation?
As these areas are very common with hypnotherapists, I found out that these concerns can rapidly become 99% of my business. It brings in the money, but then it gets very repetitive and boring. Any hypnotherapist with basic skills will be able to assist you with these problems. I, however, have decided to focus on issues that are more complex. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out my clients' inner self and re-shaping it to help resolve the issues he or she may be having. Weight loss and quitting smoking are easy. I'm happy to skip those and use my time working on the REAL stuff.
One caveat to this is that sometimes on special request i'll accept a weight loss client, if i feel they are motivated and willing and just a little stuck - but I no longer take obese individuals, people looking for a magic-pill without any work needed or smoking cessation clients at all.
I've searched through a lot of websites and they all are very serious. It appears to me like you don't take your position seriously. Why would anyone come to see you when they have serious problems that are not laughing matters?
Good call. The truth of the matter is I take this very seriously. And it's not a "position" I'm in.I don't answer to anyone. I'm self-employed and I make the choice as to whether I decide to work with someone or not. It's just that a lot of people have been way too serious about their problems too long, and STILL nothing has been solved. One of my practising simple logics is: if what you're doing is not working, try something else - anything else, any other way. If you have spent a significant amount of time and money being all formal on your therapy sessions and you still have the issues you started out with, maybe it's time to try solving them in a different manner. Besides, since results are guaranteed by the end of our session regardless of how serious or candid it may be, wouldn't you prefer to enjoy yourself while you get this stuff sorted out?
How can one type of therapy fix almost everything? - If it did, everyone would do it.
It is true that Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is, by far, the fastest expanding therapy model in the world. It describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behaviour (programming). To utilise it properly, however, involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind behaviour. This is where I come in. Theoretical knowledge of NLP won't suffice in fixing people's problems. There needs to be a medium that will make the client aware of his or her unique abilities and possibilities, so that he or she may start to do and understand things differently at the subconscious level of the mind.
Why do we have problems?
In essence, most problems are all the same thing. It is the conflict between consciously knowing what you want and subconsciously having something different happenning. Your subconscious indirectly controls your actions, making you repeat the same things; therefore, yielding the same unsatisfactory results. This happens because the unconscious and the conscious mind are out of alignment. The unconscious does not "hear" what the conscious is telling it to do. My therapy sessions are all designed to remove blocks and create this re-alignment. When that happens, the unconscious mind will ALWAYS choose to take the better way of being. It may seem hard to believe for a lot of people, but your own mind is designed to support you in being your best self. Once it re-aligns, your unconscious mind will understand and accept what you consciously want and you will then start on the more productive path of clearer emotions, making better decisions and taking effective actions.
Isn't this just loud-mouth American stuff like Tony Robbins aka the guy who tries to tell everyone how to live?
My therapy sessions and Tony Robbin's work are not the same thing Although it is true that Tony Robbins originally got his fame from using NLP back in the early 1980's - he does not use it any more. He focuses on temporary motivational hype-up psychology. In some ways, we both teach people how their brains work, how to create feelings, how to remove negativity, how to change behaviour, and how to utilise your full potential. However, as the years went by, Tony Robbins went on his own angle and focused on motivation and success-principle coaching. This is not bad at all, but we're trying to keep it simple. It is not advisable to shoot for the moon when you still have a lot to resolve within yourself. I do not and will not tell you how to live your life, understanding that every person reacts in different ways given different circumstances. What I do is help you regain control of your thoughts and emotions so that you do things in order to get the results you want in any area of your life. What Tony Robbins does is give you motivational speaking sessions and takes a LOT of your money.
I don't believe in this stuff.
Then why are you reading my website and sending me emails?
Isn't this just all in your mind?
Yep, it certainly is.
